Return & Refund Policy

At Reefer Center, we take pride in sourcing high-quality, ex-USA Thermo King, Caterpillar, and Cummins units. To maintain our competitive pricing and the nature of the used equipment market, please review our policy regarding returns and refunds below.


1. “As-Is, Where-Is” Sale Basis

All equipment—including transport refrigeration units, industrial generators, and spare parts—is sold on an “As-Is, Where-Is” basis. By completing a purchase, the buyer acknowledges that the equipment is used and accepts the unit in its current condition at the time of sale.

2. No Returns or Exchanges

Once a unit has been sold and has left our yard or been dispatched for shipping, we do not accept returns or exchanges. We encourage all clients to be certain of their power or cooling requirements before finalizing an order.

3. No Refunds

All sales are final. Reefer Center does not offer cash or credit refunds once a transaction is completed and the ownership of the asset has been transferred to the buyer.

4. Mandatory Pre-Purchase Inspection

To ensure total satisfaction, we strongly recommend the following before payment:

  • Physical Inspection: We invite you or a representative to visit our yard to inspect the unit in person.

  • Performance Testing: We offer live load-testing for generators and pull-down tests for Thermo King units to demonstrate that the equipment is in working order before it leaves our possession.

  • Technical Verification: You are welcome to bring an independent technician to verify the hours, engine health, and electrical components.

5. Shipping & Transit

Reefer Center is not responsible for any damage, delays, or mechanical issues that occur during transit once the equipment has been handed over to a third-party logistics provider or the buyer’s transport team.

6. Exceptional Circumstances

In the rare event that a unit delivered does not match the Serial Number or Model specified on your Invoice/Bill of Sale, please contact our management team immediately at +254 [Your Number] to rectify the error.
